Opening of Sir Ed Hillary Visitor CentreKHUMJUNG
The Sir Edmund Hillary Visitor Centre is a new manifestation of Ed Hillary’s original school building at Khumjung School. It is a sophisticated display of the advent of modern education in Khumbu and the work of Ed Hillary for the villagers of the Mt Everest region. The centre will be opened on the morning of the 29th of May 2023.

Sagarmatha Buffer Zone, Tenzing Norgay – Sherpa Heritage Center is based at the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarters in Namche Bazaar gateway to Everest. Opening of the newly renovated museum/auditorium at 1:00pm, followed by lunch and is open to the public.
